Journeys Made, a Kent Foundation supported business and award-winning small business known for its
high-quality personalised travel keepsakes, is proud to announce that it has been awarded
both the Partners for Growth Grant and the Partners for Green Growth Grant from Medway
Council. These grants will enable the company to purchase a state-of-the-art fibre laser
machine, marking a pivotal moment in the business’s journey.

The Partners for Growth Grant and the Partners for Green Growth Grant are designed to
support local businesses in Medway by promoting growth and encouraging eco-friendly
practices. These grants will facilitate Journeys Made in its mission to produce even more
personalised products while reducing environmental impact.

Jade Scammells, the founder of Journeys Made, expressed her gratitude: “Receiving these
grants is an incredible milestone for our business. The new fibre laser machine will not only
increase our production efficiency but also allow us to expand our offerings to include
corporate gifting and wholesale. We are deeply grateful to Medway Council for this support,
which aligns perfectly with our commitment to quality and sustainability.”

The new fibre laser machine, manufactured in Britain, is due for delivery in early September.
This advanced technology will revolutionise their production capabilities, with cutting-edge
features enabling faster, more precise engraving, allowing Journeys Made to handle larger
orders, reduce lead times and ensure each product meets the highest standards.

Journeys Made, established in 2021, has quickly become a beloved brand for travellers
seeking to commemorate their adventures with personalised leather keyrings and engraved
travel tokens. The addition of the new fibre laser machine allows Journeys Made to better
serve their customers and explore new business avenues. They remain dedicated to
cherishing travel memories through their high-quality, personalised keepsakes and are
excited about the opportunities this new equipment will bring.

About Medway Council’s Grants:
The Partners for Growth Grant and the Partners for Green Growth Grant are initiatives by
Medway Council aimed at fostering business development and promoting sustainable
practices within the local community. These grants provide financial support to businesses
that demonstrate potential for growth and a commitment to environmental responsibility.
